GARNER FINALLY GETS IT

I might quibble with Lidge's 2 inning performance on Friday (it was a 3 run lead), but you can't argue with the results. Lidge over the last three games:

5.0 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 9 K

Houston's got to feel good going back to Houston up 3-2. The only question: does Clemens start Game 6 on short rest or do you save him in case it goes to Game 7? I think you have to decide whether Game 6 is a "must win" for the Astros. If yes, then ask yourself: is Pete Munro on normal rest better than Clemens on short rest? (No, probably not.) Ergo, you start Clemens Game 6. But if you're looking for the best chance to win the next two games, then ask yourself: are Clemens and Oswalt both on short rest better than Munro and Clemens on normal rest? (Given Oswalt's recent struggles, no, probably not.) Then Munro starts Wednesday.

I'm more risk-averse than others, and I'm tempted to go with the latter. We'll find out Garner thinks.
