DUSTY IN TWO PLACES AT ONCE
Is Dusty Baker managing the Red Sox now, too?
Gram Slam by utility infielder Chris Gomez off Curt Schilling in the 8th to put the Jays ahead 7-3.
It was Schilling's 123rd pitch.
Why Schilling came out to start the 8th already over 100 pitches is puzzling enough. But why Francona didn't go to Embree, Timlin, Williamson, or Foulke as Schilling proceeded to slowly load the bases is even more baffling.
Well, not so baffling. I guess Schilling told Francona to go get your shinebox.
With managers like these, who needs a curse?
