DIPS AINT JUST FOR CHIPS

So, with Hentgen getting his lumps from the Tigers again (remind me why the Jays gave him a two-year contract? Keith Law's heard about Voros McCracken, right?), who's most likely to be called up to fill a spot in the rotation:

- 25 year-old Jason Arnold?
- 24 year-old David Bush?
- 22 year-old Dustin McGowan?

And more importantly, who's most likely to stick?

Place your bets.

WHOOPS: Hentgen's only got a one year deal with the Jays. Still, $2.2M is a lot to pay for a 5.07 DERA.

A LONG YEAR IN CHICAGO

"If you're going to have success in this game, you better go up to the hundreds... [Nolan] Ryan, [Roger] Clemens, [Greg] Maddux, [Tom] Glavine, [Curt] Schilling, all those guys have success in this game, and go 115, 120 pitches."

That's right, Ozzie. Just ask Dusty across town about all the success Mark Prior is having this year after AVERAGING 113 pitches per start last season.

I'm officially jumping off the Larry Bowa is the Worst Manager of a Near-Contender in Baseball bandwagon. No offence to Larry, Dusty, or even Jimy, but in 2004, it's all Oz.
